Sidorakis Golf

Sidorakis Golf LLC, a partnership between Tulsan’s Nick Sidorakis and Randy Heckenkemper, take over management of the City of Tulsa public golf courses, Page Belcher and Mohawk Park on April 1, 2025. We will use our decades of golf experience to bring back the quality of Page Belcher and Mohawk Park.

On April 1, 2025, we will open both golf course facilities at 10 am.

We will offer excellent golf course conditions while providing friendly, attentive, valued and cared-for service. Local management will provide guidance, experience, direction, support and leadership to our team as they care for you. In addition, it will allow for continuous improvement in all areas of the operation and a hands-on quick response to issues.

Golfers have asked for improved course conditions for many years. We will continually make improvements to each golf course at Page and Mohawk on an ongoing basis, through improved agronomic practices and paying attention to the details throughout both facilities. Randy and I raised nearly one million dollars from generous donors to invest in the City of Tulsa’s public golf courses. Combined with a one-million-dollar contribution from the city. Page Belcher has benefited from $1.5 million in golf course improvements over the past two years; these improvements include tree removal, topsoil, sodding, drainage, and a bunker renovation. At Mohawk, a new half- million-dollar irrigation pump station was installed. By early May, we will spend an additional $100,000 on much needed sodding of the fairway at Mohawk Park golf course and purchase over $100,000 in much needed golf course maintenance equipment from the private funds raised.

Mark Budler, PGA, is our Director of Golf. Mark was formally the Director of Golf at Indian Springs Country Club and will manage the daily operations at both facilities. Mark is an accomplished operator, golfer and teacher and we are excited that he will lead our team. We have hired Assistant Golf Professional Blake Ivy, PGA, at Page Belcher. Drew Bowen has been promoted to manage the golf shop and outside golf operations at Mohawk Park. Marsha Cooper will continue managing food and beverage operations at both facilities. Jason Casey and Tomas Hnizdo have been retained and will oversee the golf course maintenance operations at Page Belcher and Mohawk Park golf courses. We have retained 95% of the team members from the previous operator; we will coach, train, and provide direction and support to our team on a continual basis so they can take care of our patrons.

We will introduce golf programming for all golfers, from beginners to accomplished golfers. We will offer a golf development program called “Operation 36” for all golfers. We will offer golf clinics for all levels, private lessons, junior and women’s programs and PGA Junior League at both golf courses. We will start golf tournaments, leagues, and twilight events for the public. The golf pro shops will offer a selection of golf merchandise, including Adidas, Nike, TaylorMade, Puma, Blue Tees and more.

Starting on April 1, we will have a new POS system, website and online booking, www.tulsagolf.org.
We will no longer use Golf Now for online booking; this will save money for those who book through this platform.

We will be offering special golf rates at Mohawk Park from April 2 through May 31. These rates will be available Monday – Friday at Pecan Valley golf course for $25.00 and at Woodbine golf course for $30.00 which includes golf and cart, plus tax. At Page Belcher, the senior and twilight green fee rate will be reduced from $22.00 to $18.00 plus tax. We will continue to offer special golfing rates throughout the year, please check the website. We will continue to offer the Par Card for $99, the PDP card for $28 plus tax per month which includes unlimited range balls throughout the month with green and cart fee after 3pm daily for $19 plus tax and the annual golf pass through 2025. Please check with the golf shop for more information.

In September, we will lease new EZGO golf carts at Page Belcher, with screens to assist golfers with distance-to-holes, hole maps, GPS and more.

Most golfers do not realize the expense of operating a facility. At Page Belcher, we must purchase city water to sustain quality turf; this cost is over $300,000 on a yearly basis or approximately $5.00 per round. Stone Creek has wall-to-wall irrigation and uses more water than Olde Page which can only irrigate tees, fairways, and greens. Stone Creek requires more time to mow due to the many mounds and swales compared to Olde Page which utilizes the natural landforms. As mentioned earlier, a new pump station was purchased and installed last year at Mohawk Park. Previously, they could not irrigate greens, tees or fairways. The irrigation system is over 45 years old. We are currently working to fix the irrigation system to properly irrigate these areas until future renovation work can be accomplished at Mohawk Park. Due to the many lakes at Mohawk Park, the irrigation water is free.

Starting in May, we will delay tee times on either Monday or Tuesday till 10 am on one golf course. Golfers will always have one golf course open at normal hours at each facility during those days. This will allow our maintenance team the necessary time for essential agronomic practices and necessary maintenance that will produce better playing conditions and superior putting surfaces.

Our goal is to improve golf course conditions and service, which will increase revenue, improving overall playing conditions as requested by the golf community. As this happens, we will continually reinvest in each golf course and our team.

As you can see, we have a business plan to elevate Page Belcher and Mohawk Park, but it will take time and your support. This is an exciting endeavor. Please join us as we make these facilities the best in Tulsa and Oklahoma.

We look forward to seeing you, come play!
